Cafeteria
Visitors are welcome to enjoy meals in the hospital cafeteria. Cafeteria hours are:
Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.
Dinner: 4:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Closed: 8:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Cold sandwiches, soups, desserts and burgers are available from 1:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thirds shift food service is available from 12:30 a.m. to 2:15 a.m.
Chapel/Chaplain
Our Lady of Mercy Chapel is located on the first floor just off the main hospital lobby, near the 10th street entrance. Hours of daily Mass, Sunday and Saturday Mass and Mass on Holy Days of Obligation are posted or announced.
The Pastoral Care Staff provide spiritual and emotional care. Care is provided to a variety of individuals in various settings with priority given to the spiritual needs of the critically ill, the terminally ill, and the chronically ill. Call 319-398-6106 to speak with a Chaplain.

Driving Directions
Approaching from the south: Heading northbound on I-380, take the Diagonal Drive exit (#19A) and turn right (east). Go over the Cedar River, Diagonal Drive turns into 8th Avenue SE. Mercy will be about 8 blocks on your left.
Approaching from the north: Heading southbound on I-380, take the 7th Street exit (#20B). Stay on 7th street heading south for about 9 blocks. Turn left (east) on 8th Avenue SE. Mercy is one block on your left.

Visiting Hours
We encourage visits from family members and friends when patients are physically able to receive them. The best time to visit is between 11:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Sometimes visiting is restricted for health and safety reasons. Visitors who are ill should refrain from visiting friends and family in the hospital.

For visitors who need to stay overnight, Mercy offers a Hotel Voucher at any of the hotels/motels listed.
